Bristol has an impressive choice of academic venues, including universities, schools and colleges with some establishments catering for up to 2000 delegates.

The academic venues can be found throughout the city and many are conveniently located near to motorway junctions and major rail links. Some have onsite accommodation (available out of term time) and offer excellent catering facilities.

Venue focus - University of Bristol

The University of Bristol, as custodian of some of the city's finest buildings, blends seamlessly with the elegance and bustle of Georgian Clifton and the leafy downsland high above the Avon Gorge.

The University offers excellent venues for conferences, meetings and social events. By virtue of its role as a centre of learning and research, the University has many flexible facilities including modern tiered lecture theatres, large halls, exhibition areas, attractive meeting rooms and extensive sport facilities.

A magnificent neo-gothic panelled Great Hall seats up to 800 delegates or holds 250 for a banquet.

Bedroom accommodation, including many en-suite rooms, is situated in Clifton offering all the amenities of a bustling city, and in stoke Bishop, a quiet suburban setting adjacent to acres of open downsland.
