Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Conferences at Slimbridge Wetlands Centre

Slimbridge is the perfect, and unique, venue for your meeting, seminar, workshop, presentation, corporate or supporters event, birthday, wedding or christening party.

The award–winning visitor centre overlooks the largest collections of swans, ducks and geese in the world. It has facilities for events of all sizes, from 5 to 500. We have meeting rooms, multi-function and exhibition spaces along with a 92 seat cinema. Slimbridge can also facilitate large-scale events in both the Water’s Edge Restaurant and in the extensive grounds.

Our room hire charges include lots of free parking, flip-chart and/or digital projector, screen, paper, pencils, water and admission to the grounds for the day – please enquire for up-to-date prices. Slimbridge is just 10 minutes from the M5 or local railway station, 20 minutes from Gloucester and 30 minutes from central Bristol and Wales.

Meetings will never be the same after you have enjoyed a break out session at Slimbridge. Meet all 6 species of flamingo in the only place in the World you can do so. Take a Land Rover safari to the reserve to see hares, birds, seals and nature in the wild or come in the winter and see the daily commentated Swan Feeds. Take a Canoe Safari, to see the wildlife at their level, or try your hand with the coracles. Meet our otters, amphibians, domestic ducks, cranes and much more (can you spot our beaver?). Our staff and volunteers will explain about the work of the Great Crane Project, who hatch eggs then teach baby cranes how to survive in the wild before releasing them on the Somerset levels.

Alternatively, mix your formal session with a half-day ‘team activity’, or come for a full day working with WWT experts to help maintain this amazing environmental charity. Refreshments and equipment are provided by WWT.

The Slimbridge in-house catering team can provide a wide range of delicious menus to suit all tastes using locally sourced produce wherever possible. We can cater anything from tea, coffee and delicious home-made cookies to BBQs and formal dinners – the choice is yours.

Make your next corporate, or private, event an unusual one and come to Slimbridge Wetlands Centre where you will have an inspirational day, in unique surroundings and go away with the knowledge you will be helping to save international wetlands.
